Founded in April of 1999, GenerousBooks is looking to create a community for those who love books and love to discuss them. We are book lovers who have experienced the frustration of missing a book club meeting. We have wanted a way to stay in touch even when we are afar.

We have wanted a vehicle for communicating with authors and with others who have read the books we have read. We will be using bulletin boards and live chats so we can learn from each other and from the authors. We welcome your ideas for improving the site.

We are concerned with the difficulty of getting quality books to market and are looking to build alliances with small, boutique publishers to make sure our community of readers have a wide breadth of books to read. If you have a favorite publisher that you want us to know about drop us a line and we will contact them.

The site has been designed to maintain your confidentiality. From the very beginning GenerousBooks.com has been architected so there is no need to use any tracking software like cookies that have become so prevalent on other sites.
